Digital Ways and E-Solutions (ABN 15 630 390 822) operates Builders Inside at buildersinside.com.au. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy describes how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information.
You may enter personal details about your own customers, contacts, subcontractors, vendors and staff -- for example, in Quotes, Invoices, 3rd Party Tasks and QA Checkpoints. We handle this information on your behalf only to provide, secure and support the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it and for notifying the individuals concerned as required by law. We do not sell this data or use it for our own marketing.
We use personal information to manage your account, provide the Service, process billing, respond to support requests, and send service notifications. We only send marketing communications if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option, in line with the Spam Act 2003.
Workspace data is hosted with Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia. Each customer's workspace has its own separate database. We protect information with encrypted connections, access controls, hashed passwords and regular backups against misuse and unauthorised access.
We disclose information to hosting providers, email delivery services, payment processors and professional advisers where legally required. Some of these providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure this is handled consistently with the APPs.
We use cookies needed to keep you signed in, protect forms from misuse, and -- if you enable it -- remember a trusted device for two-factor login. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
You can view and update your account information within your workspace at any time. You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information by emailing admin@buildersinside.com.au. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet our legal obligations. After your account ends, workspace data remains available for export for at least 30 days before we may permanently delete it. Unconfirmed account requests are deleted after 7 days.
If you have a privacy concern, email admin@buildersinside.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the OAIC at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version and date of each update are shown on this page. We will give notice of material changes by email or in the Service.
